Our favorite supernatural family is finally back! The aftermath of last season is still being felt. The once mighty and feared Niklaus is now a beaten and tortured man. The Mikaelson family is in shambles as Marcellus rises to power. Five years of peace pass as the Mikaelson family tries to rebuild. All of Klaus' enemies come to see him suffering once a year, but this year is different. Klaus' enemies want to see him finally die. A powerful enemy of Klaus named Aleister starts to challenge Marcel's authority, so naturally Marcel goes to the one person he knows can deal with this situation. In a grand display of power, Marcel presents a shackled Klaus and allows him to kill Aleister. This shows everyone Marcel is the controller of Klaus and no one needs fear Klaus any longer. One thing Marcel couldn't account for is the rest of the Mikaelson family. The originals are awake, and they are coming for their brother and to reclaim their city.
