Netflix revealed that several new actors have joined the cast of the highly anticipated second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, currently in production in collaboration with Nickelodeon. The new cast members include Chin Han, known for his roles in Mortal Kombat and Skyscraper, who will portray “Long Feng.” Hoa Xuande, recognized from The Sympathizer and Top of the Lake: China Girl, takes on the role of “Professor Zei.” Justin Chien, seen in The Brothers Sun and The Great Leap, will play “King Kuei,” while Amanda Zhou, from Spinning Out and The Handmaid’s Tale, will portray “Joo Dee.” Crystal Yu, known for her work in Doctor Who and Good Omens, joins as “Lady Beifong.” Kelemete Misipeka, from Sons of Thunder, will play “The Boulder,” and Lourdes Faberes, seen in The Sandman and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, takes on the role of “General Sung.” Lastly, Rekha Sharma, known for her performances in Yellowjackets and Battlestar Galactica, will portray “Amita.”
These actors join previously announced cast member Miya Cech as “Toph” and the returning cast, which includes Gordon Cormier as “Aang,” Kiawentiio as “Katara,” Ian Ousley as “Sokka,” Dallas Liu as “Zuko,” Elizabeth Yu as “Azula,” Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as “Iroh,” Daniel Dae Kim as “Fire Lord Ozai,” Momona Tamada as “Ty Lee,” and Thalia Tran as “Mai.”
