Ralph Fiennes is set to be honored with the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award at the upcoming 40th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The celebrated actor will receive this accolade on Thursday, February 6, 2025, for his remarkable portrayal of Cardinal Lawrence in Focus Features' film, "Conclave." Fiennes delivers a mesmerizing and layered performance, skillfully capturing the intricate nuances of his character.

Fiennes made his feature film debut in 1992 as Heathcliff in "Wuthering Heights." His impressive filmography includes iconic roles in "Schindler's List," "The English Patient," "The Constant Gardener," "The End of the Affair," "The Reader," "Oscar and Lucinda," "Sunshine," "Strange Days," "The Hurt Locker," and "The Grand Budapest Hotel." He is also well-known for his portrayal of Lord Voldemort in the "Harry Potter" series and as 'M' in the James Bond films "Skyfall," "Spectre," and "No Time To Die."
Over the years, Fiennes has received numerous prestigious awards and nominations for his work in both film and theatre. He has been nominated for Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs for his performances in "The English Patient" and "Schindler’s List," winning a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the latter.
