It has recently been announced that "Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?" will be getting an animated reboot on Netflix. If you are unaware of who Carmen Sandiego is let me fill you in on some background information. Carmen is a villain and international master thief, who is the leader of the criminal organisation, V.I.L.E. The character Carmen Sandiego debuted in a PC game titled Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? after the success of the video game, the series branched off into a game show, books, comics, and an animated television series which aired on PBS from '91-'95.
Netflix has announced the new animated series set to air 2019. The series will be starring Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things). The rebooted series will consist of a 20-episodes (22 min runtime per episode) featuring a new crop of international capers, and also give us a look into Carmen’s past to tell who she is and why she became a super thief. And just maybe we can find out the answer to the question that has plagued us for generations. Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?
