Dear Diary,

Happy National Best Friends Day! 🎉 I just had to take a moment to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, because I’m not a total dinosaur) and express my love for my friends. And just to clarify: I’m not a Heather. I’m a Veronica, and that makes all the difference!

Let’s be real, my life would be a total horror movie without my fabulous crew. I mean, can you imagine? A world where I’m not rolling my eyes at the Heathers or having spontaneous dance parties in the cafeteria? No, thank you! 🕺🏻💃

First off, there’s my ride-or-die, J.D. Sure, he has a habit of making things a little… dramatic (like that time he suggested we take a “permanent vacation” from high school). But honestly, who else would I share my deep existential crises and sarcastic commentary on teenage life with? Plus, he’s always got my back—whether it’s against Heathers or just when I need someone to help me sneak out for a midnight snack. 🍕✨

Then there’s Martha. The sweetest soul you could ever meet. She’s like a walking hug! I love how she can brighten any day with her quirky jokes and endless supply of candy. If anyone could convince me that life is like a box of chocolates (and not just the metaphorical ones), it’s her. I’m so grateful for her friendship—seriously, how else would I manage to keep my sanity in this insane high school jungle? 🍬❤️

And, of course, my heart goes out to the other Heathers. I know, I know—I’m not a Heather, but they’ve got their moments too. Even when they’re being total drama queens (which is, like, 99% of the time), I can’t help but appreciate the banter and the crazy adventures we get up to. I mean, who else would I debate fashion choices and social strategies with? It’s like a never-ending episode of “Survivor: High School Edition.” 💅🎭

So, here’s to my friends—my chosen family in this weird, wild world. Thank you all for making every day an adventure, even when it involves avoiding the cafeteria mystery meat. I promise to always be your Veronica, standing strong in my non-Heather identity, fighting the good fight for friendship and fun!
