You know what? After drowning in all that ABBA, I found myself desperate for some real metal—because, shocker, rock isn’t dead (despite what your dad’s playlist says). My ears were basically begging for mercy, so I reached for my go-to axe-slayer: one of the first female guitarists I ever heard who could melt faces with a solo faster than your daddy (Challenge accepted?).” That’s when it hit me—holy hell, she’s new… I’m actually saved.And hey, shoutout to Mr. Bangs for finally helping me untangle the wild, glorious branches of rock. Turns out, all that “real music” actually did inspire the greats. ABBA? Yeah, apparently, they’re the medicine I never even knew I needed. Who knew?Anyways, back to Kiki Wong, the absolute shredder and current axe-queen for The Smashing Pumpkins. Can’t wait to see her live—yep, solo, like the true rock disciple I am.
